Baby Chicks and a Visit to the Family Farm in New Douglas

Went to visit the Family Farm in New Douglas yesterday and their IsoBrown baby chicks are feathered out and running around playing. It was a cute site to see one that found a worm and then ran around with it in its mouth trying to keep it away from the rest of the chicks. It became obvious eventually that it really had no idea what to do with that luscious worm. It finally dropped it and by that time the rest of the chicks were busy having other exciting adventures. These are the beginning of the new flock of laying hens for the farm and the new crop of tiny babies arrived this week and are yellow and fuzzy and scooting around in their baby pen learning about life. The farm has eggs to sell that are from free range non GMO feed chickens - in case she has any left because they are big healthy eggs.
