New Vendor Arrives June 30th.. Share the Soap

Tori and her family are coming to the market for the first time this Thursday, June 30th bringing their soaps and skin care line that they create at their home. Their daughter raises goats and will happily share stories about their good and bad behavior and her escapades showing her goats. Their milk helps create some of the soaps and skin care items they will be selling. If you miss them at the market, please get in touch with them through their web page as they take orders there and you can see all the wonderful items they locally produce. http://sharethesoap.com

It becomes crucially important to any market to have customers in order to keep the vendors continuing to come and to recruit new and exciting vendors to share in the market. Produce is beginning to arrive and sadly last week we had to donate most of what came from the garden because of a lack of customers. If you haven't tried Ernst Beef or Beckert's Brats you are missing out on some great eating plus the Family Garden is bringing flowers, fruit, and produce to sell. Please support the market - if you only stop by for a popsicle from the concession stand and just check to see what is for sale.

B & K Bakery products are picked up for delivery every Thursday for the special orders, which cost less than anywhere else and LD is still bringing the wood items he makes at home here in New Douglas. Our pecan seller has breathing issues in the extreme heat so if you want pecans you need to let Peggy or Linda know at the market and we will get them from him for the following week. Once he runs out, we will let you know.

The Young Gardeners Education program has been cancelled due to a lack of transportation for the teacher but we will still be working with Home Depot to get a community building project for the kids set up for August before they go back to school with the corporate folks coming out to build ...if your kids are interested and 12 or under, please let us know you are interested so I can offer Home Depot an idea of how many building kits they will need to bring.
